2nd Massing of the Planets
The five-planet massing of 47 BCE is real astronomically, but there is no surviving direct ancient eyewitness narrative describing it. It’s mainly supported by modern orbital reconstructions, not a preserved historical text—even if chronologically it coincides with major political events like Caesar’s dictatorship.
Caesar was still in Egypt until June/July 47 BC, having just defeated Ptolemy XIII and installed Cleopatra as ruler. By August 2, 47 BC, he had moved to Pontus and won the Battle of Zela (prompting his famous "Veni, vidi, vici"). He returned to Rome in autumn 47 BC (likely September/October)
The planetary massing in late November would have occurred around or just after his return to Rome
